Pie Iron S’mores

Let’s begin this camping season right with this pie iron s’mores recipe!
There’s nothing like a good old classic to get started.
Makes 4 s’mores
What You Need at Your Campsite
Square pie irons
Wooden cutting board
Hot pad or BBQ gloves
Resealable bag
Small knife
Ingredients
4 graham crackers
2 pie crusts (pre-made kind)
2 cups chocolate chips
8 large marshmallows
2 jars of marshmallow crème
butter
Instructions
Prepare a campfire and let it burn down to hot coals. Pre-heat your pie irons.
Crush your graham crackers.
Lay out pie crusts and cut into 8 squares approximately the same size as your pie irons. Butter all crusts on 1 side.
Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on 4 pie crusts and sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the same crusts.
Add marshmallow crème on the 4 crusts without graham crackers and add 2 marshmallows on top of the same crusts.
Carefully lay your marshmallow crème crusts on top of the crusts with the graham crackers and chocolate chips. Gently pinch all sides of your s’mores down.
Butter both sides of your pre-heated pie irons (Be careful! They are hot!).
Sprinkle graham crackers crumbs on both sides. Gently place your s’mores in the pie irons and close them. Trim off extra crust with your knife.
Cook for 5 minutes on 1 side and 5 to 7 minutes on the other side. Check to see if the crust is golden brown. If not, cook until ready.
